The Local is Waiheke’s premium licenced fish and chip restaurant, situated in the heart of Oneroa village.
Family owned and operated, The Local offers informal indoor and outdoor dining from a deck with simply spectacular views of Oneroa Bay.
Following your zipline and native forest experience, kick-off your jandals, relax on the sun soaked deck and choose from The Local’s perennial kiwi favourites:
Freshly-caught fish, or a gourmet beef, or vegetarian burger, each served with hand cooked chips and complemented with a glass of local Man O’War wine or Tiger Crystal beer.
You are welcome to order additional drinks and food once you settle in.
Please note: this package doesn’t include transport from The Local to Matiatia ferry terminal, which is approx. 1km away.
The Archive Bar and Bistro is a new addition to Mudbrick Vineyard. Set beside Mudbrick's famous gardens the the Archive features an informal menu from head chef Logan Coath that is perfect on a summer's day.
After your zipline and native forest experience, we'll deliver you to Mudbrick to enjoy their seasonal summer set menu. To start, share a chef’s choice of seasonal favourites, including mudbrick olive oil, rosemary and spelt focaccia and selected antipasto.
Next, choose from:
Seasonal line-caught market fish with risotto, charred leek, pickled lemon & rocket; or slow cooked Silver Fern Farms lamb shoulder with roasted red cabbage, carrots, spiced nuts and sunflower seeds; or agria potato gnocchi with jerusalem artichoke, tarragon, mushroom vinaigrette, house smoked ricotta and 15 year old New Zealand parmesan.
Drinks, deserts and coffee can all be ordered on the day.
Complete your Mudbrick Vineyard experience with a tasting of four of their fantastic wines for just $8 per person.

Only a short drive from EcoZip, at the end of your zipline and native forest tour experience we'll deliver you to Batch Winery. This state-of-the-art winery, located at the island’s highest vineyard, provides awe-inspiring views to the gulf islands and beyond. Thomas’s Bach Restaurant specialises in relaxed, island-style eating, in a setting that is quintessentially Waiheke.
Served family-style at the table, your lunch opens with a mixed selection of artisanal breads with cheeses, fruit chutney and pickled vegetables.
This is followed by entrées of Salmon mousse, chicken pate and vegetable dip.
Next is the main event, market fish, barbecue chicken and grilled sirloin served with barbecue vegetables and a seasonal salad selection.
Finally, finish off with world famous smashed Pavlova topped with mascarpone cream, roasted seasonal fruits and berries.
Additional drinks and coffee can all be ordered on the day.
