    Level 1

EcoZip Update

With Auckland now at level 1, we’re completely back in to the swing of things.

Although there’s no need for many of the provisions put in place for higher alert levels we have hung on to a few of the processes we developed.  Most of these are ‘behind the scenes’ and revolve around our cleaning routines; so we’re still cleaning with the frequency and thoroughness we adopted previously.  Hand sanitiser is still in place in our public areas, the bathrooms and on our decks.  Disposable masks are available, should you wish to wear one, in our vehicles and at reception; though their use is no longer essential.

A few guests have asked us what happens to their booking in the event that we move back up alert levels and are subject to either a national or regional lockdown.  The answer to this question is, we’re pleased to report, pretty easy. In the event that we’re unable to operate, or our guests can’t get to us, due to a new lockdown you can choose either:

  1. A full refund, or
  2. An exchange to a gift voucher valid for at least 2 years from the end of the lockdown.

Thanks for checking in and we look forward to welcoming you back to Waiheke soon.

  • Great staff, fun, also enjoyed the short bush walk back up the hill afterwards. Good emphasis on safety.

  • This was a terrific experience, I screamed all the way down all three zip lines. Would definitely recommend it. Brilliant, thank you.

  • We had not been on a zip wire before this trip. EcoZip staff were very welcoming and very professional. We were well prepared for the zip wires and our guides did a great job making sure we were all set before each run. The walk back to the centre with some information about the local flora and fauna was a great addition. We would thoroughly recommend EcoZip.

  • We had the best time ever! The instructors were very friendly and made sure that we were all safe. The zip lines all had spectacular views. Overall it was amazing!!

After a year of closed borders and cancelled business events up and down the country, it was brilliant to host Aussie and Kiwi buyers in town for the Meetings 2021 trade show #meetings2021
So what do you do when you work on an island that’s described as ‘paradise’ and you want to take the whole EcoZip team away for a well deserved break? You head to Rotovegas!
How cool is this! The next generation of ‘tree huggers’ - and a pretty epic birthday party at EcoZip!
We did another photo shoot on Sunday, prepping for new website. Here’s a behind the scenes shot of our brilliant volunteer talent
Our key account manager Jenna has been busy today, working with Auckland Unlimited, Tourism NZ, Fullers 360 and Stonyridge Vineyard, delivering live webinars to travel agents in Korea and Singapore. This might be the first time anyone has worn zipline gear right outside Stonyridge’s restaurant!
Sometimes you wait weeks for the right weather for a photo shoot. But when Waiheke turns on one of ‘those’ days it’s hard to find anything to fault

Proof you’re never too young or old to zip! Three generations zipping together as part of a 70th birthday weekender. Happy Birthday Elva!
And the view from the office...
Great bird’s eye view of The Big Dog
Did you know our forest is a designated Site of Environmental Significance and is full of native trees and New Zealand birds?👍🏼🌳🌱#chuffed #ecozipadventures #waihekeisland
