Nestled discreetly just off SH1 is Emporium Brewing, Kaikōura’s very own craft brewery.

Set around a sunny courtyard and inviting bar, Emporium offer a range of up to 12-freshly brewed beers, plus 3 ciders, on tap. They also offer a selection of bottled beers, wine and low- and no-alcohol alternatives.

Emporium and EcoZip have put together this no-nonsense, easy-to-manage package, perfect for groups of up to 20 delegates.

After your ziplining adventure, head to Emporium and enjoy a 5-beer (or cider) tasting paddle, a freshly cooked, juicy burger, and a round of mini-golf.

The Brewery Beers:

Emporium Brewing produce a wide range of beer styles. With so many different varieties out there, they truly believe there is a style to suit everyone and love introducing them. Craft beer isn’t all about the hops (although they do some great IPAs), they also craft Belgian style beers, Barrel-aged Stouts, Sours, and a very nice crisp Lager. Pick a mix of 5 of their tap beers and ciders for your personal Emporium tasting paddle.

Choose your burger:

• Bacon Beef Burger – Homemade beef pattie, bacon, cheese, pickles and mustard slaw in a pretzel bun with BBQ sauce.
• Pulled Pork Burger – Slow cooked pulled pork, cheese, pickles & mustard slaw in a pretzel bun with BBq sauce.
• Black Bean Burger (V) – A black bean, chickpea and jalapeno pattie seasoned with smoky paprika. Served with cheese, pickles & chipotle slaw in a pretzel bun. Remove cheese for vegan option (Vg)
• Chicken Schnitzel Burger – Crumbed chicken breast served in a pretzel bun with cheese, pickles, mustard slaw & mayo

A great option for those who need lunch on the go. Flo & Co are a family-owned business world famous in Kaikōura for beautiful presented home-made food. The lunchbox option is available either before or after you zip and is full of yummy morsels of deliciousness.

‘Hiku’ comes from the Māori word for ‘whale tail’ and offers delicious, relaxed New Zealand fare – expect classics with a kiwi twist and beautiful flavours in a stylish and relaxed space. Celebrate what Kaikōura is all about – kai moana, fresh produce, marine life, and dramatic sea and mountain scapes.

When you’re looking for somewhere to relax & kick back after your zipline adventure, you can’t go past the Strawberry Tree.  Located in the centre of Kaikōura, you’ll step through the rustic timber doors into the cosy eclectic bar with an open fire & loads of coastal charm. The Strawberry Tree is the place to be for live entertainment… on a sunny day you can enjoy the spacious beer garden areas & listen to local musicians play.

Awarded as the Number One Gastropub in the Upper South Island region for 2024 and 2025, your group will be treated to a feast of their finest selections.

Shared Entrée Tasting Platter:

Curated to showcase a selection of their best bites, including: smoked ribs, smoked chicken wings, smoked beef brisket, pickled veg, potato wedges, mayonnaise… plus calamari.

Main:

Burger – choose from classic beef, BBQ brisket, pulled pork, or smoked portobello mushroom, served with hand-cut wedges.

Set in leafy countryside, a mere 10-minute drive from central Kaikōura, is Donegal House, an iconic Irish-style pub, restaurant and hotel. Established in 1865 by Davy and Dick Boyd, migrants from County Donegal, today Donegal House offers its guests a relaxed environment in which to enjoy a few drinks and hearty pub-grub.

After your zipline adventure, indulge in a delicious 3-course set menu dinner or lunch starting with a hearty Seafood Chowder, followed by your choice from a selection of mains, topped off with a delightful dessert.

Entree:

• Seafood Chowder – creamy seafood chowder, full of mussels, shrimps, and plenty of fish served with  home-made garlic bread.

Choice of mains:

• Roast Pork – served with roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, steamed vegetables, mashed potato and gravy.
• Irish beef Stew – slow cooked with Murphy’s Irish Stout, carrots, onions, peas, and celery served with creamy mashed potato, topped with a pastry lid.
• Battered Fish and Chips – with a lemon, caper and herb butter, served with salad and chips.
• Chicken Schnitzel – Panko-herb crumbed chicken breast with your choice of topping; mushroom Sauce, peppercorn sauce, or gravy served with salad and chips.

Dessert: Next choose from a selection of delicious desserts that change daily but include delights such as:

• Pavlova, raspberry and white chocolate with ice-cream and cream.
• Berry Brownie Cheesecake with vanilla ice-cream.
